DNA Ireland was established in September 2005 by Lucy Hooper, a biotechnologist, originally from
Dublin. She set up the company in Cork in order that a quality DNA testing service be available to
clients outside of Dublin.
Since setting up the company, it has been featured in the Evening Echo (29th March 2006), the
Sunday Business Post (18th June 2006) and The Sun Newspaper (19th June 2006). She has also
appeared on numerous radio programmes talking about paternity testing in the Republic,
the Ray D’arcy Show on Today Fm, LMFM radio and Beat 102-103 Fm in the south-east.
Lucy has over 6 years experience with DNA paternity testing in Ireland and hopes to expand
the company in coming years.
